Sexuality in Seniors

Sexuality after 50 years the situation has changed Older people, especially women,love to live differently, in addition to having a hectic life. A survey by the National Institute of Health and Medical Research, INSERM,showed that the frequency of sex among seniors has been a boom in recent years. Conducted among 12364 people by telephone in 2006, the study "Context of Sexuality in USA" shows that nearly 9 in 10 seniors had sex during the last twelve months (87.2% women and 91 4% of men).

Figures are very different from those of the first study in 1970. Indeed, women in couples over 50 who reported having had sexual activity during the last twelve months were 53% in 1970, 77% in 1992 and ... 90% in 2006. The proportion of men in couples over 50 who have sexual activity was also high, even faster in 1992 with over 90% of sexual activity. This activity of older workers is reflected the increasing frequency of sex, especially among women. Women couple of 50/69 years having had sex were 5.3 reported per month in 1992. This figure rises to 7.3 in 2006. Figures closer to a changing way of life for many older women increasingly varied-gyms, travel, cultural outings, etc. .-, divorces increase constantly, the result, unmarried women of 55 years are increasingly numerous and active.
